Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Customer", "User", or "You") and ByteShield Technologies Inc. ("ByteShield", "We", "Us"). They govern your access to the byteshield.tech website, the ByteShield Windows desktop application, and any associated support services.

2. License Grant & Device Allowances

Subject to timely payment of applicable subscription fees, ByteShield grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and run the software on the number of compatible Windows personal computers specified during purchase:

• Basic Edition: 1 designated Windows PC workstation.
• Pro Edition: Up to 2 personal Windows PC workstations.
• Advanced Edition: Up to 5 household Windows PC workstations.

3. Permitted & Prohibited Uses

You agree to use ByteShield solely for lawful personal or internal business purposes. You agree not to:

• Decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of ByteShield binaries, except where permitted by applicable law.
• Distribute modified, cracked, or unauthorized copies of the installer or activation keys.
• Use ByteShield automated scanners to benchmark competing software without written consent.
• Circumvent or tamper with licensing enforcement mechanisms or activation tokens.

4. Subscriptions, Renewals & Cancellations

Billing Cycle: Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual cadence. Unless canceled prior to the renewal date, subscriptions renew automatically at the standard rate.

Cancellation: You may cancel auto-renewal at any time through your Account Portal or by contacting customer support. Cancellation takes effect at the conclusion of the paid term.

5. White-Glove VIP Technical Support Terms

The optional 24/7 VIP Technical Support add-on ($199.99/year) provides assisted guidance for peripheral device configuration, email setup, and workstation stability for up to 3 household PCs.

Remote assistance requires your explicit consent to establish a screen-sharing session. ByteShield technicians will never access banking portals or personal financial records. You retain full authority to terminate sessions at any moment.

6. Warranties & Disclaimers

ByteShield is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. While we strive for 100% precision in malware interception and system diagnostics, no security software can guarantee immunity against every emerging threat or hardware failure.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ByteShield Technologies Inc. shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from hardware malfunctions, third-party software incompatibilities, or data loss caused by pre-existing malware.

8. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed under the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
